Location
Is the hotel easily accessible by public transport?
Yes, absolutely. From the train station it’s a short walk (600 m) through our beautiful Jordan Park. Otherwise, all sights, shops, and restaurants in the city center are within easy walking distance. The stops for bus lines 75 and 76 (RVA Regionalverkehr Allgäu, stop “Amtsgericht”) are located on Ganghoferstraße in front of the hotel.
How do I get from the main station to the hotel?
Either you walk directly through the park and follow the signs toward the city center, or you turn left in front of the train station, walk along Bahnhofstraße to the next cross street and then follow Ganghoferstraße to Felix Kaufbeuren.
Where is the hotel located in Kaufbeuren? Is it in the city center?
We are located between the train station and the historic city center, centrally situated on Ganghoferstraße. The train station and city center, sights and museums, Jordan Park, shopping opportunities and the Energie Schwaben Arena are all within walking distance. What is in the immediate surrounding area?
The Fünfknopfturm, built in 1420, is the proud landmark of Kaufbeuren and marks the end of the well‑preserved city wall. While walking along the wall, visitors immerse themselves in the medieval history of the city and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the old town as far as the Alps.
Jordan Park with Contheke & playground – “Our green lung”: a brand‑new adventure playground for children and the stylish “Contheke” (container bar with live music & sports broadcasts) for adults.
The Roman Tower of Kemnat is the preserved keep of the medieval Kemnat Castle, built around 1185. Today it offers a magnificent view over the Allgäu and the Alps. Visitors can explore the history of the castle and experience medieval atmosphere at events such as theater performances.
Prinz Georg Garden – a historic garden, about a 15‑minute walk away.
Arrival Date & Departure
When is check-in and check-out?
Your room is available from 3:00 pm. In the entrance area you will find a check‑in machine where you can conveniently receive your room key card. Payment is always made in advance, allowing you to leave immediately in the morning.
If multiple rooms are booked under one name, please come to the reception so we can assist you with check‑in there. This also applies to anyone who has problems with the check‑in machine or for whom check‑in machines are “new territory”. We won’t leave you alone.
The room must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure. Please drop the key card into the box at the hotel exit. Please be punctual when leaving the room, otherwise an additional night will be charged..
How does the check-in work?
Pre‑check‑in via your smartphone
You can conveniently complete check‑in via your mobile phone before arrival. This saves you time at reception and allows you to go straight to the kiosk or your room.
Check‑in at the self‑service kiosk in the hotel
A digital self‑service check‑in kiosk is available on site. You can complete your check‑in in just a few steps – independent of opening hours or staff.
What if my key card stops working?
Please always take your key card with you when you leave the room and ensure that you do not place it near a magnetic object. If you lose your key card or it no longer works, this is no problem: you can easily issue a new key at the check‑in kiosk at Felix Hotel at any time.
If it does not work at all or the kiosk is unavailable, you will quickly and easily receive a replacement at the reception during opening hours. This way you always remain flexible and can return to your room without stress.
What if arrival or departure times don’t fit my plans? Early Check‑in / Late Check‑out
Depending on availability, check‑in before 3:00 pm and/or check‑out after 11:00 am is possible for an additional charge. Please contact us in advance.
Are there hotel parking spaces?
Yes, we have a limited number of parking spaces in our courtyard (parking fee per night €9). Street parking is also possible at certain locations and times in the surrounding area (please check in advance – we cannot accept liability for parking tickets). The public S‑Parkhaus Süd parking garage is approximately a 7‑minute walk away (paid).
Where can I charge my electric car?
If you would like to charge your electric vehicle during your stay, we can now offer this as well. Charging stations are located in front of the hotel (no fast‑charging stations).
What happens if I forget or lose something?
If you forget or find something in the hotel, we handle it very simply. Found items are safely stored by us. Lost items can be inquired about at any time – we will immediately check whether they have been turned in.
If the item is available, you can pick it up at the reception or we can send it to you by post (postage applies). If you find something yourself, please hand it in at the reception – we will take care of everything else. This ensures that nothing is lost and every guest quickly gets their belongings back.
For shipping, we require a prepaid shipping label (e.g. printed online via DHL). The shipment must be picked up from our hotel reception by a parcel service. Whether insured or not is your decision when creating the label.
How does check‑out work?
Check‑out at Felix Kaufbeuren is really easy: simply drop your key card into the box at the hotel entrance – and you are checked out. No waiting time, no effort, completely uncomplicated.
Can I still cancel my room?
Whether you can cancel your booking always depends on the rate you booked.
Non‑refundable rate:
These bookings cannot be cancelled or changed.
Flexible rate:
You can cancel free of charge up to one day before arrival.
If you are unsure which rate you booked or what your conditions are, just ask us – we are always happy to help.
Reservations
Can I extend my stay?
You are welcome to extend your reservation at any time. The extension depends on current availability. Prices are based on our daily rate. Just contact us – we will help immediately.
Can I change my billing address?
You can easily edit your billing address yourself during check‑in at the kiosk. If you need to change something later or need assistance, simply send us an email – we’ll take care of it.
Can I upgrade my room after booking?
If you wish, you can easily upgrade your room directly during digital check‑in at the kiosk. Upgrades naturally depend on availability, but we are always happy to see what is possible. Just try it – maybe an even nicer room is waiting for you!
What is the best way to book a room?
By far the best way is to book directly via our website – and for good reason:
Best price: you always get the lowest available rate.
Best benefits: exclusive offers available only when booking direct.
Best support: personal help with no intermediaries.

Can I buy a gift voucher?
You can of course purchase value vouchers on our website – ideal as a gift for friends, family or colleagues. Fast, uncomplicated and always a lovely surprise.
Can I book for a group?
Group bookings are, of course, possible. Please note: a maximum of 6 rooms can be booked at the same time via our website. For larger groups, please send us an email or give us a call so we can prepare a customized offer. We will gladly help and put together the best offer for your group.
The Hotel
Is Felix Kaufbeuren Downtown a real hotel?
Yes, absolutely. We are a hotel in the three‑star category. Our rooms are equipped with bathrooms, comfortable beds, high‑speed Wi‑Fi and televisions. As a hotel, however, we do not have conference rooms or a spa area. We focus on your overnight stay, a good breakfast and a cozy drink at our bar.
Is it true that the rooms have a special design?
Well, to be honest, we are a bit very Allgäu! Flower meadow, rustic wood, traditional elements – but all interpreted in a modern way. Our interior designer is rooted here in the city, and you can feel the attention to detail.
Is the hotel accessible?
All hotel floors are accessible by elevator. We have accessible rooms, also with a connecting door to a room for a companion. Please contact us in advance if you need assistance in this regard so we can reserve such a room for you.
Can we smoke in the hotel?
No. There is an absolute smoking ban throughout the entire hotel. This applies to tobacco, vaping and drugs of any kind. Anyone who violates this house rule must leave the hotel. There is a covered smoking area in front of the hotel entrance. So anyone who really wants to can indulge their vice. Please make sure, especially when smoking at night outside the front door, to always take your key card with you.
Is there WiFi?
Free high‑speed Wi‑Fi is available throughout Felix Kaufbeuren – perfect for streaming, working and relaxed browsing.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are of course allowed and very welcome. A small additional fee is charged for your four‑legged companion. This way you can both enjoy a relaxed stay with us.
Rooms & Stay
What room types do you offer?
We offer classic rooms with a large bed for one or two people. There are also so‑called twin rooms with two separate beds. Our design rooms feature a queen‑size bed (1.60 × 2.00 m). In our superior rooms, you have even more space (1.80 × 2.00 m) and a particularly quiet room facing the garden. We also offer family rooms (2 adults & 1 child), the family suite (2 adults & 2 children), and accessible rooms. During the booking process, you can choose the room that suits you best.
How big are the rooms and beds?
Most rooms are around 20 m² in size. Our beds are between 0.80 m and 1.00 m wide per person and 2.00 m long.
Is there air conditioning?
Perfect indoor climate all year round. In all rooms, a modern air‑conditioning system ensures your personal comfort in summer, and in winter you can turn up the heating – cozy warm in winter and stay‑fresh‑cool in summer. This way you should always have exactly the temperature you like.
Can I leave a review?
We are always very happy about feedback – because your opinion helps us become even better.

How do I receive my invoice?
Your invoice will be sent to you automatically by email immediately after your check‑in. This way, you have all documents digitally, clearly arranged and available at any time.
Why do I need to provide a credit card when booking?
Booking guarantee:
Your card serves as a security guarantee so that your room is really reserved for you until arrival.
Protection against no‑shows:
If a non‑refundable booking is not honored or a cancellation is made too late, the hotel may charge the costs according to the booked conditions. The stored card enables this – without any additional effort for you.
No automatic charge:
In many cases, the card is not charged immediately but only stored. Charges are made only according to your booked rate (e.g. prepaid rate or no‑show fee).

With a card on file, digital check‑in is often easier and faster.

Who is Felix?
The name Felix comes from Latin and means “the happy one”, “the successful one” or “favored by luck”. Since the 1990s, Felix has been one of the most popular first names in Germany. So: happy and popular! That is also our goal. We are happy to welcome you as guests, want you to have a wonderful and happy time in Kaufbeuren, and hope you help ensure that we remain one of the most popular hotels in Kaufbeuren.

Safety & Hygiene
The Felix Hotel is equipped with a fire alarm control panel as well as a house alarm. Escape plans are posted on every floor. For guests, there is an emergency telephone available at night via reception (11:00 pm–7:00 am). A bell connects directly with our night access portal. Emergency numbers are posted both in the lobby and at the check‑in kiosk. We comply with all current hygiene regulations and ensure a clean and safe environment.

Felix has a snack vending machine on the ground floor. We also offer our rich breakfast buffet and, during reception opening hours, drinks, pizza and tarte flambée.
